This album documents the sound installation A Traves in Isabel Rosas Cotemporary, Valparaiso, November 2019.
The installation consists in capturing the surrounding sounds through long pvc tubes placed in spots surrounding the gallery. The tubes add particular resonances, and their quality as frequency filters is emphasised by a sustained chord in an electric keyboard.
Inside the tubes there are microphones connected through long cables to speakers that are placed inside the gallery together with the keyboard. The room in the gallery is left open so the sound permeates everywhere.
Amidst the Chilean protests the work explores the conditions that make listening possible.
